Discover the Timeless Beauty of the Orthodox Faith in Parramatta, Australia
Nestled in the heart of Mays Hill within the bustling community of Parramatta stands St. Mary’s Mays Hill, a beacon of the ancient Christian faith. As part of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese, our parish offers a unique journey into the unbroken traditions and spiritual practices that date back to the time of Jesus Christ and the Apostles.
Our parish, dedicated to the Nativity of the Theotokos, is not just a place of worship but a gateway to the early Church’s teachings and rituals. Here, you’ll find a community that cherishes the deep-rooted traditions, liturgies, and sacraments passed down through millennia. “And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.” Acts 11:26
Our parish laid its foundation stone at this site in 1999 and was established to serve the Orthodox faithful and local community. Although a relatively young parish in Australia, our faith is directly connected with the original Church of Antioch. We are part of the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines.
With services in the Arabic and English languages, we welcome all to discover the Ancient Church of Jesus Christ. Enquirers into Orthodoxy and Catechumens are welcome.
